We at Henderson Management are always on the lookout for fresh new talent to take to the stage at Bistro Live and on Monday the 9th of May, we hosted a showcase and invited a handful of exciting new bands for a little test party at our venue in Leicester. We're looking for the perfect party entertainers to include on the Henderson Management roster in addition to our sister company Bistro Live's live music nights.

Bistro Live is the ultimate party venue so we were hoping to find the perfect band (s!) to get the party started and get our guests up on their feet.....

Poparazzi 

Poparazzi are a high energy, fun and talented band made up of lead guitar, bass guitar, live drums and female vocalist. Suzy who has performed all over the world on crusies, residencies, nightclubs and is also a very talented recording artiste.

Never a quiet week in the world of everyone's favorite man-band, Take That and the past couple of days have been no exception! With Robbie confirmed to make a comeback for their upcoming 25th anniversary tour and the Greatest Hits album currently in production, Take That are showing no signs of slowing down.

Add to that, TT fans winning big on the National after backing Rule The World (who shares the name with one of the group's biggest hits) and the former 90s boybands are popular as ever!

Two outstanding tribute acts head over to Romania for tribute festival!

It's been a busy old week in the Henderson Management office including booking acts in for a huge tribute festival in Romania! The HeyDay Festival have booked stunning tributes to James Brown and The Beatles for their event in May.

Buzz D'Angelo is a strikingly accurate James Brown tribute respectfully dedicated to the hardest working man in show business. Buzz D'Angelo has performed with many soul music's all time greats – icons such as Ben E King, Gladys Knight and Edwin Starr - Official UK Number 1 - as voted for at the National Tribute Awards 2013...

Buzz D'Angelo has been performing his tribute to “The Godfather of Soul”, James Brown all over the world. James Brown's music crosses every generation. Spanning the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. He is still very influential with many of today’s new artistes.  Buzz also includes some material by “The genius” Ray Charles in his show. So weather you like “Hot and Funky” or “Cool and Mellow” Buzz will make sure you “Feel Good”.

The Fab Beatles formed in 1991 and have risen through sheer hard work & dedication to be one of the most sought-after Beatles tribute bands in the world today, with concerts performed all over the UK, Europe, Middle East & the Americas.

Top 5 questions to ask your wedding venue!

We've had a good trawl around the internet looking for a definitive list of what you need to ask your wedding venue at your showing. We haven't yet found one that has all the know-how when it comes to getting a band or musician into the venue so we've compiled our own!

1.If the venue is outdoors, is there a back-up option for inclement weather? Will the back-up space accommodate the same number of guests?

2.Are there noise level restrictions that must be adhered to?

3.Are there any requirements for suppliers (ie the DJ has to have public liability & PAT testing of his equipment)?/ Is there sufficient power supply?

4. What is the capacity of the room? Don’t forget that room capacities include everyone in your ceremony, not just your guests. Make sure there is room (both numerically and physically) for your photographer, videographer and musicians.

5.What time does music need to stop and when does everyone need to be gone by?

Did you catch our Take That, Robbie Williams and Spice Girls tributes on The Last Leg?

You might have already clocked these guys but if you weren't watching The Last Leg on Channel 4 last Friday, you'll have missed 3 of our incredible tributes.

Their performances followed a skit comparing the departure of Robbie from Take That and Geri from the Spice Girls to the UK's possible separation from the EU.

Standing in for them were three of the UK's top tributes to Take That, Robbie Williams and The Spice Girls: Rule The World, Mike Andrew and Spice Girlz.

With the passing of David Bowie, enquiries have been coming in thick and fast for our stunning tribute to the Starman. 

Like many tribute artists, Jean Genie is not just a singer in his own right but a dedicated and loving fan of the man he impersonates making this tribute one of the finest and most accurate out there.Through tribute shows such as this, fans can continue to enjoy the music (and costumes!) of one of Britains most-loved artists.

In the late 1990s John was approached by David Bowie’s famous band the Spiders from Mars and was asked by them if he’d front the band and tour with them. Obviously John accepted the offer and John remains to this day to be one of only a few tribute artists to tour and perform with an original artist’s band. John also played harmonica and sang backing vocals with Def Leopards Joe Elliott on the spiders from mars cybaunauts album.
John owes a lot of his experience of working in theatres and opera houses to Mike Southon aka Mike Fab Gere.

They both met on the Big Breakfast TV show in the early 90s and later teamed up together when Mike asked if John would tour in Mikes very own rock musical called Freak Out. More recently they found themselves performing again on stage in Moscow Russia.
John has undertaken many press/radio interviews touring extensively around the world playing the part of David Bowie. These days John prides himself on the quality of his voice, mannerisms and overall style to the late great David Bowie, many of John’s latest performances have been with Trevor chances highly successful show 'Legends' in Blackpool.

To all of Bowie's fans - young, old and those yet to discover his legacy, take a listen to the work of this brilliant performer who has dedicated his life to imitating this legend and his (almost) inimitable style!

 The Mersey Beatles 

 The buzz they created in the early days soon caught the attention of Cavern City Tours, owners of the world famous Cavern Club and organisers of the annual International Beatles Week. The boys were given a Thursday night residency at The Cavern and have become the headline act at the Beatles Convention at Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel.

 

The Mersey Beatles are still honoured to be playing regular Thursday nights at The Cavern from 10pm and are well on their way to topping the 294 performances which The Beatles achieved at the club.
